On vacation I spent a day in Naples visiting a friend from college. I got in to town a few hours before she was off of work so I decided to check out the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. As a nice (and by nice, I mean kind of rude) older man told me, I wasn’t exactly visiting at the right time of year. It was pretty dry so most of the 2.5 mile loop left little to be seen. I did, however, enjoy the Lettuce Lakes and pond area which featured a variety of birds and a few gators!
Gators!!!
I loved watching the birds go “fishing” — way more efficient than my attempt at deep sea fishing a few days prior!
