The Canadian Rockies are beautiful.
And that’s probably all I need to say about the pictures that follow, but here’s a quick recap of these two days: We drove through Jasper National Park, stopping at overlooks here and there, and made our way into Banff National Park where we stayed the night at Chateau Lake Louise. The hotel stay and view were both incredible. It poured down rain for several hours in the early morning and while it thwarted our plans to canoe on the lake, it gave us a valid excuse to sleep in! At that point, we had driven a little over 2,000 miles — in 4 days.
Tonight, we’re staying in Calgary and that’s where the next blog post will pick up!
Jack has been a great travel companion and even he was sad to say goodbye to Chateau Lake Louise!
